MV Cancer Support Group
The Martha's Vineyard Cancer Support Group is a group for cancer patients, survivors, their families, friends, and caregivers. If you are here you are in the right place. 

The MV Cancer Support Group hosts Zoom meetings every Wednesday at 5pm. Participation is voluntary and everyone will get an invite via email. All meetings are moderated and confidential. Interested participants should send their email address to: mvcancersgroup@gmail.com and the host will include them.

Financial assistance, upon completion of application, is available for Island Cancer patients. For more details see the "Financial Assistance" page of this website.

MVCSG has available some things that may be helpful during treatment.  Currently we have:
     * Hand knitted soft, comfortable, beautiful hats made by volunteers. We also have scarves and soft fitted caps available.

MV Hospital Infusion Center
Has wigs available in various colors & styles. They have all the choices catalogued on an iPad, which is available for interested patients to scroll through. If you are interested in trying on a wig, please call ahead to arrange a time when a medical assistant is available to help.
 
The Infusion Center also has scalp cooling therapy, which is a simple treatment that can help prevent hair loss caused by certain chemotherapy drugs.

Island Counseling Center
The Island Counseling Center is available to individuals and families overwhelmed by stress, experiencing difficulties in relationships, struggling with addiction and in crisis, without discrimination and regardless of ability to pay. A program of Martha's Vineyard Community Services.
